Good afternoon world of bloggers,
This afternoon I am going to be talking about the Kawa of Care. So as some of you guys know that around New Zealand there are cluster of schools that work together around cyber smart and how to use apps. But under all of that you have to learn the Kawa of Care. The Kawa of Care is an agreement between students, school and their families. It is about children being responsible on our devices and being cyber smart at all times. The Kawa of Care is pretty much a treaty that you have to follow and if not there are consequences depending on what you did.
Here are the rules you have to follow: Always keep your Chromebook/case and charger and make sure you don't lend it over to someone else, Keep your chrome out of reach from little kids and make sure to store your Chromebook in a safe place, always be on appropriate sites and on the right sites, make sure that you will protect your password and won't tell anyone, log out when your not using your Chromebook. This means on any device your on such as a phone, iPad, tablet and laptop and your Chromebook.
This also means connecting with other in a kind, positive and helpful way. That means if anyone is being mean or you see something inappropriate let a adult know as soon as possible. Most important don't tell anyone that you don't know anything personal or your age, address, school and anything that will get them to get to you. Because you might of heard about stranger danger.
So always remember be right thing at the right time and remember to be kind, positive and helpful online.
That it from me thanks. Remember to stay safe and wash your hand. Also remember to stay 2 meter away from people. And remember stay home, save lives. And lets remember to be kind BYE!!
Kia ora Gaylene, wow what an amazing post. You've summarised everything we learnt in our Cybersmart lessons last term. I like the way you included some information about how to look after your device now that you're at home in your bubble. Maybe you could include one of your DLOs (posters, slides or videos) from Term 1?
